How much does each session cost?

The fee for each session is €70 for individuals and €90 for a Couples’ session.

What can I expect from a Therapy session?

At any therapy session you attend you can expect a welcoming and comfortable environment where you can talk freely about what is troubling you. What you talk about is up to you, and your Therapist is there to listen attentively and without judgement.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person. If at the end of your first session you feel that I can help you, we can agree an initial block of sessions (usually once a week for six weeks), with a review at the end of that time. Many people find that this is sufficient, while others may benefit from further sessions.

How long does a session last?

Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes to 1 hour.

Are my sessions private and confidential?

Absolutely. Your Therapist is bound by a very strict code of ethics and cannot reveal what you say to anyone.  There are some exceptions, which you can read more about in the Client Contract at the end of this page.

What happens if I can’t make it to my session?

You can cancel any arranged session by contacting me.  Two working days notice are required for any cancellations, as per the Client Contract below.

PSYCHOTHERAPY CONTRACT

Confidentiality

Our sessions are confidential, and while I may bring particular material to my own supervision as a professional requirement, the privacy of all clients is protected.

If I believe that there is a risk of a client causing serious harm to himself or herself or to another person, I will endeavour to contact their GP, a family member or another relevant person to advise of my concern.

Under Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2011) if I have reasonable grounds to believe that a child is at risk of neglect or physical, sexual or emotional abuse, I am required by law and my professional code of ethics to report this to the Child and Family Agency.

Cancellation Policy

I respectfully ask for two working days notice of cancellation of any appointment.  If a session is cancelled with less than two days notice then the fee will be payable.
